Or 4th or whatever...I'd sort of like to,but I'm worried about how the first two would feel about it when they're older.
also,it means I'd have to choose one side of the family to 'please',which might be awkward...

Yes, I would.

Another poster said on another thread - You choose your favourite names at the time with each pregnancy. It doesn't mean that your first-born necessarily has your fave names etc. There may be a reason why you choose particular names, at a particular time.

If I was you, and I wanted a particular middle name, I wouldn't restrict myself because of the choices I'd made for my other chidren.

FWIW, my siblings and I have one middle name each. Some of our middle names are family names and some aren't. This has never been an issue.

Thankyou.
That seems very sensible Grin

I have a family name as my middle name, one of my brothers has a family name for his first- none of my other siblings have and it's never been a problem. Never thought about it actually. And we're not the first and second children either- I'm number 4

My younger brother has a family name for a middle name and I do not, its never bothered me (particularly as i dont like any of the female family names, whereas the male ones are more classic than old fashioned)
