Ladies please help! What is the female version of Saul????

I've got a beautiful squishy new baby - she has a first name, beginning with the letter B, my dh's brother is Robert Saul, but called Saul by everyone. What is the female version of Saul? Is it Sally? I'm intereste dto know if anyone has any suggestions for a middle name that tips its hat to Saul.

I don't think Sally has got anything to do with Saul.

I'm not sure there is a female version of Saul. You could go for a name associated with Saul e.g. his wife or daughters? They're all a bit 'out there' though; Ahinoam, Merab or Michal?

How about Sorrell? Not the female version of Saul but similar-ish?

Saul was the original name of the Apostle Paul.

So you can have Paula, Pauline, Paulette, Paulina.

I went to school with a Sari. In some versions of the bible it was the name of Abraham's wife.

'Saula' is a real, but rare, name. There was actually a St Saula.

I used to work with a (young) woman called Soula - still pronounced Soo-luh. It probably looks closer to Saul, too.

Her Mum gave her the name because of some Greek connection, but I can't remember the details.
