What do you think of Endellion?

looking for something unusual and elegant for DD3

No Cornish heritage here, but I love the look and sound of Endellion.

What says the Mumsnet jury? (ps obv I know, but don't care about, about the Cameron usage...)

Made me think Endymion then Dandelion.

i know you are not looking for a cornish name but how about lamorna,far more elegant than endellion and it is the name of the most beautiful coastal hamlet in all of cornwall, just farther on than mousehole and set in such a pretty woodland valley. You would be able to take your dd to such an enchanted place on holiday to her namesake, and i don't work for the cornish tourist board!!!!!

I only came on to see if it is for a boy or girl - there's the rub !

Clearly in the minority here but I think it is utterly gorgeous and thought about it for my dd but we had too many others to fit in. Do it!!

I met a Veryan recently - named after a Cornish village I believe. Rather pretty.

Love and adore it, perhaps because it sounds like it should be a LotR name. It wouldn't work with our surname - probably luckily for any furture offspring!

It's beyond awful and crossed over to 'Brooklyn' territory ie. people will think that's where you conceived him, shagging in a village in Cornwall.
