Totally agree that Annabel is by far the nicer version - simple and elegant. Annabelle is way OTT fussy.

And I say this as an Isobel who actually, secretly, thinks Isabelle is nicer. :-/ Annabelle definitely not, though.

Annabel by far. Annabelle too frilly. Most names seem so girly girly these days. I prefer names that have a "hard" element in them somewhere like Viviene, Zoe, Erin. Prefer short names generally.

Somerset - much prefer your spelling of Isobel to Isabelle, by a mile.
