I like Isaac. Also quite like Arden from your list.

I have an Ethan & think it's a good, strong name...

What are your other ds's called?

eBook · 23/10/2012 16:12

How about Aidan, Luke, Joshua, Alexander, Daniel, Henry, Tristan?

smable · 23/10/2012 16:29

My favourite is Bruno, from your list Isaac and Oliver, Darrah is lovely with an Irish accent, not keen on Arden at all.
How about Conrad,Lucien or Linus

Moominsarescary · 23/10/2012 16:48

I will probably out myself if I tell you their names

ds1 has what mn considers a chavvy naughty boy name

Ds2 has a very American name, two actors in The Lost Boys have the same name.

Ds3 has the same name as a baby/toddler in eastenders

Ds4 has a biblical name which is very common now and people think I've named him after a wolf from twilight

I like Ethan, Alexander and Conrad, will run them past dp thankyou.

smable your right, it does sound lovely with an Irish accent Dp is Irish.

Oh, your fifth son! How about Quentin? It's derived from the Latin word for five!

Alisvolatpropiis · 23/10/2012 18:13

I like Isaac most from your list. Not keen on your dp's two choices!

My favourite boys name is Aneurin which is probably not really your thing.

Maybe;
Torin
Dexter
Edward
Flynn

5madthings · 23/10/2012 18:17

The only child i know called Arden is a girl, but thinking about it it is pretty unisex.

I like Conrad and Isaac and Arden.

Dogsmom · 23/10/2012 18:42

If DD had been a boy we would have called him Isaac or Joseph.

Not keen on Arden but probably because I've only ever heard of Arden Grange which is a dog food.

WineOhWhy · 23/10/2012 18:47

i also know a girl Arden so would assume it is a girls' name.

Viviennemary · 23/10/2012 18:49

I like traditional names. Philip Joseph Michael. From your list I like Isaac best.

Moominsarescary · 23/10/2012 19:03

I've only come across Arden in a book, dp knows some Irish Ardens so think that's where he's coming from.

He's already said no to dexter and Flynn along with many others! I think he's holding out for Darrah as this is what we were going to call ds3 until fil died and we named him after him.

We both like Reid but there's something in the back of my head saying no! I'll mention all the names put forward and see what he says.

Moominsarescary · 23/10/2012 19:10

From your suggestions, op, I really like Arden and Isaac. I also love the suggestion above of Quentin or Quin for a fifth son.

(Darrah sounds feminine to me, sorry).

Leafmould · 23/10/2012 21:18

Darrah is great, but would you consider spelling it daragh?

Moominsarescary · 23/10/2012 21:28

leaf I should have put Darragh, which is how dh wants to spell it but I'm dyslexic and hadn't noticed I'd missed out the g! Hadn't thought about just the one r

Good luck making a decision that feels mutual.... I think it's rare a kid gets a name that was the first choice for both parents!
