Decided on 1st name for DS - Samuel but struggling for middle name, had decided on Joseph but for some reason gone off it now (much to my DHs annoyance).

My DD has a long first name and short middle name, while I like. So wanting a some ideas for short boys names to go with Samuel.

Not Luke or Tom as already in family.

I like Theo.

Any suggestions???

Toby, Rory, Adam?

Lancelottie · 23/10/2012 13:38

James, John, Mark... or indeed Theo, which sounds good with Samuel to me.

Mark is DHs name, he keeps 'joking' about using it. Ummm NO!

Hmmm, like Rory and John.

James, Louis,, LGeorge, Niall. I love Joseph but that's my little one's name!!!

John is a really good idea - sounds lovely with Samuel.

mrsharrycunningham · 23/10/2012 13:54

George obviously, not LGeorge!

EldritchCleavage · 23/10/2012 13:56

Leo(n), Ezra, Xan, Ian?

I like John best though.

I always like middle names that have a family connection, are there any you could use from grandparents or great-grandparents, or a loved uncle?

DessieLou · 23/10/2012 14:02

I know it's your, dh's name, but why don't you use 'Mark' or another family name for your baby?

Dd1 has my name as her middle name. Ds1 & dh share the same middle name & dd2 has my dsis' name as her middle name. I like 'special' names that mean something for middle names.

Just a thought...

Lyftiduft · 23/10/2012 19:56

Joel
David
Charles
James
Peter

My DS has my dbro's name as his middle name. I'm with teamthrills :)

Thank you all.

After a discussion with DH we are liking:

Felix, Josh, Jacob, Morgan, Rex

I do like the tradition of using family names (my DDs middle name is my grans) but my DH does not actually like his name, he is joking about using it. I do like his name for the record :)
