Either name neutral or good to you?

Guinevere May is absolutely beautiful.

Tnetennba · 16/10/2012 22:48

Both lovely but slightly prefer Guinevere May

Vera Christina would be lovely.

Not sure about Guinevere, maybe it's because the "evere" is like "severe".

MolotovBomb · 17/10/2012 13:00

I like Guinevere May but I really dislike Vera Christina. VC has a beautiful flow to it, but I just don't like either individual name.

notMarlene · 17/10/2012 13:04

Vera Christina if you'll always use the full first name - Guinevere May is lovely but Guinevere's a bit much for everyday use IMHO, love Guin or Guinny as a nn though!

TenThousandGoodMornings · 17/10/2012 13:08

I think Vera Christina is gorgeous. Guinevere is more of an eccentric art teacher's name imo.

Error404 · 17/10/2012 13:09

Vera Christina makes me think of a South American revolutionary.

LilyBolero · 17/10/2012 13:11

Guinevere, because you can always shorten to Vera if you like.

Not sure about Guinevere May though. Guinevere may.....what? (iyswim!)
What about;
Guinevere Ruth
Guinevere Mary
Guinevere Beth
Guinevere Fleur
Guinevere Jane

MrsJohnDeere · 17/10/2012 13:14

Guinevere May much nicer IMHO.

Vera Christian sounds like an Africam missionary to me (which is fine if that's your cup of tea)

AuntieStella · 17/10/2012 13:15

Guinevere is a lovely name.

Vera is still Duckworth.

lottiegarbanzo · 17/10/2012 13:45

Really dislike Vera, the other names are lovely.

sassyandsixty · 17/10/2012 13:48

Guinevere is lovely but how is it going to play out when yelled across a busy playground? What's the short form? It's a bit out there for my taste. Vera sounds a bit fag in the corner of your mouth and hairnet. But Christina is nice.

Haberdashery · 17/10/2012 14:17

Love Vera Christina. Guinevere May sounds a bit wet to me.

eBook · 17/10/2012 15:22

As you like names with the "vere" or "ear" sound in, how about other names with the same sound (or similar) in them?

Verity, Veronica, Elvira, Verina, Samira, Sapphira, Virginia, Erica, Ciara, Indira, Elvira, Hera, Zahira?

lottiegarbanzo · 17/10/2012 16:15

I like the V.. Christina pair (like Vicky Christina Barcelona, which flowed well!), just not Vera. Viola or Verity would almost fit, or Lara, Zara, Sophia.

Guinevere to me is similar to Eugenie and Genevieve (also Gwendoline but don't like that one).

lottiegarbanzo · 17/10/2012 16:30

Zelda, Xanthe, Esme, Thea... Christina, sorry, probably not helping!
