Hi, I have a dd named Lauren Margaret. We aren't sure whether it is a girl or a boy. I like Lily and Isaac but DH likes Sadie and Thomas. Please give us some suggestions. The middle name for a girl would be Margaret and the middle name for a boy would be David. Thanks xx

For boys, you both like traditional Biblical names.

For girls, you both look names ending in an 'ee' sound.

Wouldn't Lauren Margaret and Lily Margaret be a bit...............samey? Struggling why you would give new baby the same as your DD

Ham69 · 30/09/2012 12:52

I must admit I'm also struggling to understand why your DDs should share a middle name, particularly if they share a surname. Please don't give them the same first initial too. There are so many names out there.

Love some of the suggestions, too. David David and Maggie Margeret Grin

DessieLou · 30/09/2012 14:00

I'm with Llanbobl and Ham69 on them both being called Margaret.... maybe it was a typo?
Nicholas, Ephraim, Daniel (Danny), Zachary, Ralph?
Sasha, Eloise, Cara, Josephine (Josie), Eleanor?
Just some random suggestions! From your list I like Isaac and Sadie.

peanutbutter140 · 30/09/2012 15:58

It is after my mother and her mother and so on. it is a family tradition for all girls to have the middle name Margaret. Thanks for your suggestions we are considering Nicole Eloise and Poppy. You all made some great suggestions. Thanks guys!

I am with you DH, I love Thomas for a boy its traditional but still not 'old fashioned'.... Still I am a great believer in waiting to meet the little one before settling on a name somehow I think it is much easier! We had a short list for our DS and when he was born decided on something completely different!
