Just trying to help my sis out. Her heads spinning for names for the bruiser she's just brought home Grin

Nope neither for all the reasons already mentioned.

To me, Jet sounds a bit too try-hard to be cool and unique, Jed has the Jedward connatation but to be fair probably by the time the child is old enough to be in school their 15 minutes will be up and they will be consigned to the bargain bin of history.

Jed

I have a cousin called this. Don't know where his mum got it from.and never will but it suits him and he is nearly 18

I'm hoping said bruiser is a kitten or puppy.

I have a neighbour called Jed. He takes all his phonecalls on the pavement outside his house, usually whilst wearing his boxers. That name therefore has the taint for me.

Jet is a dog's name. Or a Gladiator. Jed is marginally better.

Jedidiah, with Jed for short.

Jeremiah, with Jem for short.

Jet? No.
