Welsh boy name - what springs to mind?

So I'm due in a week, and we are going in with a shortlist - neither of us has our favourite names on there, they are all compromise ones, so I'm not entirely happy with them!

Anyway, I just wanted to gather opinions on one of the names. We lived in Wales for some time but aren't Welsh and don't live there any more, and I am quite taken with the name Macsen (sometimes spelt Maxen).

I've never met any, and wanted to make sure it's not something likely to get too many raised eyebrows! I quite like it's versatility - I've always really liked Max and the husband likes Mac, so it shortens well.

I live in Wales and am Welsh, and have a boy called Max! Macsen is nice, and could still be shortened to Macs if he wishes when he's older. I went for Max with an X as it's a nice strong name.

Lovely name. Unusual, and with two great nick names - well done! Grin
