What do you think? Is Joe too simple as he grows up?

Joe is a good solid name. I like it a lot.

Josef makes me think Stalin, sorry!

Joe's lovely though.

I like Josef personally, to give a bit of flexibility. But Joe isn't too simple. It's nice, solid and strong.

hellokitty123 · 10/09/2012 23:21

Josef/Joseph is nice but Jo/Joe is too nicknamey imo.

Badgerina · 10/09/2012 23:38

Joseph/Josef/Joe are ok, but there are LOADS of them!

I know a teenage Josef - he does get people assuming it must be pronounced "Yo - seff" a lot.
Unless you aren't English, is there a reason why not Joseph ? He can still be called Joe by people, but will have the fallback of a more formal name as anwhen he chooses to use it.

Fritzl springs immediately to my mind. Sorry! Though perhaps by the time he is in school enough time will have passed that won't be the case for most people.

Love Joseph or Joe though.

I named my son Joseph & love the name. But he's now 14 & likes to be called joe lol :)
