Like a lot of the suggestions but can't use most of them as we have them in the family .

We both have a big family so theres not really much choice left !! Grin

I only know of one Lucas and don't think it is that common. I do, however, think it is a lovely name.

I don't know whether to maybe just go with Lucas ? I am seriously finding naming this baby sooooo hard ! I wasn't like this with DD but then I think girls names are much nicer than boys . Plus you can get away with a lot more !

I like Lucas a lot, it works in lots of different countries and sounds modern without being trendy.

Jonas is a good suggestion.

hellokitty123 · 07/09/2012 18:38

Lucas is ok but quite popular. As is Luke.

How about
Raphael
Quentin
Dominic
Oscar

applepieinthesky · 07/09/2012 21:29

Elias
Silas
Cassius (my DS's name - due in November)

I like Lucas though and don't think it's too common? Much prefer it to Luca or Luke.

MagratGarlik · 08/09/2012 00:31

Probably very conservative, but why not Marcus or Luke? Both also work well in multiple countries and are classic, so less prone to trends.

pictish · 08/09/2012 01:07

Luke over Marcus any day imo.
Luke's a nice name. It's masculine yet gentle.
Marcus is a twat with a big mouth.

In my mind's eye anyway.

pictish · 08/09/2012 01:08

And we all see names different ways remember? Don't club me to death for disliking Marcus.

If I meet a nice one I will change my mind....I swear!

libbyssister · 08/09/2012 02:02

My lovely 2-year-old Marcus isn't a "twat with a big mouth" Sad

pictish · 08/09/2012 09:10

Sorry Sad

It's the image that pops up when I hear the name though. That's just the way it is.

GoldPlatedNineDoors · 08/09/2012 09:12

Luca

englishmummyinwales · 08/09/2012 09:32

Or Lukas, which is how I think it should be spelt anyway (not that I am biased or anything Grin). It's gaining in popularity too (over 400 registered last year), though that could be mainly from Eastern European families living here. However, you would have to be prepared for most people to automatically spell it incorrectly DS2 will be so fed up with me when he's older

Margerykemp · 08/09/2012 09:48

What about Luc or Louie

Lucien
Laurie
Elias
