Our surname is two syllables starting with 'B' and ending with an 'ee' sound if that helps?! Probably going to have Grace as a middle name.
We've also got Fleur and Jenna as possibles... Just being very indecisive. Thoughts and other ideas welcome!

I love Tabitha. would have loved t use it but dh vetoed Sad

Imogen also lovely.

not so keen on Freya (I do like it, but not as much), and I prefer Emily to Emilia.

Fleur is nice (although I prefer Florence)

What about Antonia? was on our list for dc3 (who turned out to be a boy!)

Caroline is also criminally underused, imo.

PatFenis · 05/09/2012 17:20

I have a DD called Emilia Grace and and 2 syllable surname ending in 'ee' (y) :)

milkteef · 05/09/2012 17:21

Hate Tabitha. It's a cats name.

Imogen and Emilia are the nicest. Lots of Amelia/Emilia's around though.

lottiegarbanzo · 05/09/2012 17:24

Freya has become quite popular, which would put me off and Emilia is similar to new no.1 Amelia.

Like them all but of the others, I'd choose Imogen as it's more grown-up but also cute for a child. Imo is much cooler than Tabby too.

Jenna doesn't sound like a whole name to me, I'd think it was short for something.

DoIgetastickerforthat · 05/09/2012 17:24

I love Tabitha and Jenna is a possibility if DC4 is a girl. Also like Fraya but Imogen just makes me think of an aristocratic, middle aged women.

BroomForMyChin · 05/09/2012 17:25

A Jenna will also get asked what it's short for.

Imogen is a beautiful name.

flubba · 05/09/2012 17:25

Love Imogen, have grown to like Tabitha, not so keen on Emilia or Freya. Love Fleur too.

FatBat · 05/09/2012 17:27

That is my slight concern with Emilia - I love it but it seems there are lots (of all variations) at the moment!

Whirliwig72 · 05/09/2012 17:27

Imogen - sounds like a wise, beautiful and stylish person Smile. Go with that one!

flubba · 05/09/2012 17:34

Outed your real name there Whirliwig? ;)

LineRunner · 05/09/2012 17:40

OP, I think they are all all wonderful names.

FatBat · 05/09/2012 18:01

love Tabitha. my second favourite is Imogen. don't like Freya at all, and prefer Emily or Amelia to Emilia.

good luck!

WithACherryOnTop · 05/09/2012 18:12

Imogen is my favourite.Freya is very nice.Emilia is lovely.Tabitha is awful.

insanityscratching · 05/09/2012 18:13

Don't like Tabitha but love Imogen. Emilia and Freya are very popular around here, like Fleur don't like Jenna.

TudorJess · 05/09/2012 18:18

Emilia is by far the nicest, followed by Imogen.

Tabitha - dislike, cat's name
Emilia - lovely
Freya - not keen, faddy
Imogen - OK, perhaps a bit faddy

ZiaMaria · 05/09/2012 18:21

Love tabitha. Like Imogen but it is very popular now it seems. Freya is getting a bit passé I think.

Whirliwig72 · 06/09/2012 10:05

Ha ha - no Flubba! I wish I had that much self confidence!

imustbepatient · 06/09/2012 10:34

Imogen is my favourite from your list. I also like Fleur but would go for a longer middle name if choosing it. Eg Fleur Imogen!

slartybartfast · 06/09/2012 10:36

i like freya.
see what name suits her when she is born

slartybartfast · 06/09/2012 10:37

oh and i like emilia, to be fair i problby like them all

Notmyidea · 06/09/2012 16:53

I have a Tabitha Grace and I have to say it's my favourite on your list:) They are all lovely, though.

Ebb · 06/09/2012 17:04

I love Freya and Imogen.

MoonHare · 07/09/2012 16:57

Tabitha - absolutely love this (I have one!!) the people who don't like it because it sounds catty miss the point - being feline sounding is part of what makes it a fab name imo.

Imogen - my second favourite from your list. Lovely for all ages and strong too.

Emilia - there are so many around, add in the Amelia's too and it's a very common sounding name at the moment.

Freya - again, soooo many around at the moment, used to like it but have heard it screamed across the playground in "gerr ere nahhhh" tones too often in the last 4 years.

TenthMuse · 07/09/2012 17:11

I really don't get this whole 'Tabitha = cat's name' business. I've met far more cats called things like Sophie and Molly and Chloe than Tabitha. in fact, I've never come across a real-life cat called Tabitha! I assume it's the Beatrix Potter/Tabitha Twitchit connection, but it just seems silly to me. After all, Harry Potter hasn't stopped Harry becoming the most popular boy's name.

Anyway, it's definitely my favourite of your choices. The others are pretty but all fairly common (especially Freya, which is becoming ubiquitous where I live). Emilia's nice but would constantly be confused with Amelia. Imogen would be my second choice - seems more classic and less 'faddy' than the other two.
