Vintage feeling boys names

emmyloo2 · 03/09/2012 22:50

just on the back of the other thread where there are some lovely old fashioned girls names being suggested for the OP, I would love some vintage feeling boys names. The OP in the other post had decided on George Stanley if her DC was a boy and I have a George. I adore the girls names being suggested on the other post but I cannot seem to find boys names that have that lovely old fashioned feeling but aren't "old man" names.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

For 'vintage' read 'Classic'. Names that stood the test of time.

Thanks for all the suggestions! I am loving Albert, Ernest, Clement, Lawrence and Roland. My deep down favorite is Edward but DH is not as keen. Is dominic old fashioned? I love it but wonder whether it's more modern?

Should have also added Edmund. This might be a nice alternative to Edward?

Dominic isn't as old fashioned as Clement, Lawrence, Ernest and Albert, you're probably right. Edward is quite trendy at the moment, actually.
