Like Reuben - dislike Theodore/Theo.

CandiceMariePratt · 03/09/2012 19:12

I like Frank

StateofConfusion · 03/09/2012 19:14

Not a fan of Reuben, love Theodore/theo.

helpyourself · 03/09/2012 19:14

Both good names, but not together.

amothersplaceisinthewrong · 03/09/2012 19:16

Reuben is lovely, So is Theo. But not together. One "unusual" name is enough for any child (IMHO of course!)

Clargo55 · 03/09/2012 19:21

There both lovely names. However, I don't think they sound great together.

How about:

Reuben James
Reuben Thomas

OR

Theodore James
Theodore Daniel

Ham69 · 03/09/2012 19:28

I think they work together perfectly. You'll very rarely, if ever, use both names together out loud. I don't see what the fuss is about! Go for it.

WinkyWinkola · 03/09/2012 19:38

Theodora Reuben is a better combination I think.

TudorJess · 03/09/2012 19:47

Love Theodore, and think Reuben is OK. Great combination of classic names, though personally I'd go for Theodore Reuben instead.

5madthings · 03/09/2012 20:26

i LOVE both those names, my ds1 is theodore and my ds2 has reuben as his middle name, i am not entirely sure if they go together tho? i think theodore reuben sounds better? but they are both great names :)

Badgerina · 04/09/2012 00:18

LOVE Smile Grin Smile Good taste!

WithACherryOnTop · 04/09/2012 00:23

Love it.And Reuben Theodore sounds better to me than Reuben Theo or Theodore Reuben.

EllenParsons · 04/09/2012 01:40

I love it! Both great names and fab combo. I don't think they are that unusual that it's "too much" to put them together - they're not that popular, but still heard of and well known names. Really nice choice.

EllenParsons · 04/09/2012 01:40

Oh and I would go Theodore rather than Theo just for completeness.

CouthyMowWearingOrange · 04/09/2012 01:56

I love it. But I am probably biased, as DS3 is Reuben Francis. Grin

CouthyMowWearingOrange · 04/09/2012 01:57

We call him Roo, like little Roo from Winnie the Poih most of the time.

humblebumble · 04/09/2012 03:09

Both wonderful names. It really doesn't matter if it is Theo or Theodore as a middle name I can't say I use my middle name very often. Personally I would use Reuben Theodore. I love the full names more than abbreviations.

In any event he may choose (or you may) his middle name and he could be a Theo, Teddy or something else.

Gugglebum · 04/09/2012 06:09

I love it. As in, LOVE it. Grin

ripsishere · 04/09/2012 06:15

Frank is a great name, Theo(dore) is a nice name, Reuben, no. I don't like it.

nooka · 04/09/2012 06:26

Sounds good to me. I'd use Theodore rather than Theo (I prefer 'proper' names to nns). Reuben Francis sounds great too, and little Roo is a great nn for a baby :)

squoosh · 04/09/2012 12:05

Theo is nice but don't like Theodore.

Don't like Reuben.

persephoneplum · 04/09/2012 12:23

I LOVE Reuben Theodore! Go for it!

DessieLou · 04/09/2012 20:30

Oooooo, I love Reuben Theodore! A winning combo if you ask me. Reuben is our boys name, should we ever have one!
