Hi Guys,

Currently 30+1 with my first and we have narrowed our boys names down to either Harrison or Oliver...

Any thoughts / opinions on these?

Surname is Craig :)

Thanks

Yes to Oliver. Because your surname could also be a first name, people will always wonder if it is Craig Harrison or the other way. Although the same applies to Oliver as well...

Oliver

PuggyMum · 24/08/2012 12:55

I really like them both. I have a friend with a Harris. It really suits him.

I think DH would love a Harrison!!

Blondie2009a · 25/08/2012 20:22

Hello, both lovely names - but we know so many Olivers, we would pick Harrison. Seems really dignified and strong, not so 'Charles Dickens'.
But you must go for the name that you love the best. Good luck, it's so hard choosing a name.

Harrison Craig sounds awesome.

Figgygal · 25/08/2012 21:03

Harrison is very common ATM don't know how concerned u are about that?

I know of 3 that go to rhyme time at my local library all born within a couple months of each other!!

manicinsomniac · 25/08/2012 21:51

Harrison.

I like Oliver but there are so many (and moat of the ones I teach at the moment seem to be nightmares for some reason!)

I like both but prefer Harrison.

peggyblackett · 25/08/2012 22:41

LOVE Harrison! There are way too many Oliver's.

I want to use Harrison but we know too many Harrys and two Harrison's already!

wakeupandsmellthecoffee · 25/08/2012 23:02

my DS is the only Harrison in a school of over 1800 kids

Leeds2 · 25/08/2012 23:25

Oliver.

lottiegarbanzo · 25/08/2012 23:29

Oliver.

I'm personally not keen on surnamey first names anyway but my taste aside, people will get muddled and think it's the wrong way around as Harrison is a more common surname than Craig.

Fireandashes · 26/08/2012 08:51

Oliver, no contest. Lovely classic strong name.

SoupDragon · 26/08/2012 09:00

Oliver. Harrison is a surname and with your surname being a name it sounds odd.

Dudeypantsmum · 26/08/2012 09:09

Both are lovely and ignore the comments about surnamey names as surely James, Oliver, Daniel, William, Barry, Richard, Matthew, Charles, Keith, David, Craig, Michael, Philip, Benjamin, Andrew etc are all surnames (some with just a s at the end) as well as first names!

SoupDragon · 26/08/2012 09:11

Yes, ignore the opinions of the people you've asked. Great advice. LOL.
