I have been considering this for a dd should I have one! What do you think? Is it a chav ahem common name? It would be after a family member called Angelo ( please don't suggest Angela) so if I don't use Angel I will probably just use Angelo as a mn should I have a ds!

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I thought it was a boys name (as in Buffy?)

What happens if she is a 'challenging' child and the name really doesn't suit her?

School days would be hell too IMHO.

OMG same I’m legit obsessed with buffy

No I wouldn't.
You would take the risk of setting her up for teasing-bullying and is that actually your real name questions for the entirety of her life. Would you like to be called Angel?
I would find it embarrassing. Especially if I have a hangover look like crap am PMSing and my hair is a grease birds nest and I go to pick up a parcel from my local shop. "What's your name love?" "Angel."

Plus when someone dies it's not uncommon to say something likes "I've got an angel looking over me now".

I associate the name with
A. Religion
B. Death
C. Kitsch and tawdry Christmas ornaments

Angelica would be a lovely way to honour a relative named Angelo. I think it seems a bit fresher and prettier than Angela but more name-like and feminine than Angel, and with less teasing potential.

Eight-year-old zombie thread.

It's a boy's name in Spanish speaking countries. On a girl in the UK, I think it's a bit like calling your kid Neveah or Diamante or something.

Angeline is fine.
