Thanks everyone! Still feel rather confused, but it's great to hear your opinions. Errrring on Faith I think, but just not sure! x

Wren, faith is icky.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 16/08/2012 20:23

I really like Wren but think it works better as a mn.

Not over-fond of Faith but like Faye a lot.

LemonOCOGTurd · 16/08/2012 20:33

Faith.

drtachyon · 16/08/2012 22:00

I prefer Faith.

Wren is a bird to me.

shinyblackgrape · 16/08/2012 22:01

I like faith - its lovely. Wren sounds like a nickname for Lauren to me.

Coprolite · 16/08/2012 22:03

Wren.

MarianForrester · 16/08/2012 22:05

Wren could be very unfortunate if she were not tiny

Devora · 16/08/2012 22:08

Faith

TeamGB2012 · 16/08/2012 22:08

Wren

kissmyheathenass · 16/08/2012 22:09

My dd2 has Faith as her middle name - I love the name despite me being an athiest.

Wren is also very lovely. I know someone who has a Wren. Very cute.

anairofhopeFORGOLD · 16/08/2012 22:13

Another vote for Wren :)

TheEnglishWomanInTheAttic · 17/08/2012 07:37

Marian that is a good point, I once taught a ahem, very plum indeed Ariel ... Hmm Luckily the other kids hadn't made a connection, but as her parents were both big people too, meaning their daughter had a good chance of not being an ethereal, willowy sprite, there were a few "What were they thinking, poor girl" type comments in the staff room ...

buttercrumble · 17/08/2012 07:41

Love Faith, never really heard of Wren for a girl but really like it. I would probably go for Wren its more unusual......

exoticfruits · 17/08/2012 07:44

Faith.

SoupDragon · 17/08/2012 07:47

DD is a Wren but it is only her nickname. I don't like it as a given name at all.

She is so not a tiny, drab songbird so its a good job really.

Dogsmom · 17/08/2012 08:43

I prefer Faith too, people with probably think Wren is a nn and she'll be forever saying 'Wren - as in the bird'
My friends name is Renee which is always shortened to Ren.

trilottie · 17/08/2012 09:26

Wren! It will be my bump's middle name in a few weeks :) I love it.

squoosh · 17/08/2012 12:33

I really don't like Faith although it seems to be really popular all of a sudden. I just don't like virtue names.

Wren is pretty though although maybe the Ren/Renee is a better option to prevent bum achingly boring conversations 'No, it's a W not an R'.

crocodilesmiles · 17/08/2012 12:41

Oh, I really like both.

I think Wren will be one of those names that will really grow in popularity, and be much more well known in ten years time.

Faith is lovely
Just a thought but what do you think of Serenity with the nickname Ren. I love the meaning...Peaceful, calm, untroubled...Just the kind of life I would wish for my little one x

SoupDragon · 17/08/2012 12:44

If you call your child Serenity you will end up with the loudest, boisterous child ever. :)

DDs name isn't Serenity but I used to explain her name as "Like Serenity only much much louder."

crocodilesmiles · 17/08/2012 13:05

SoupDragon, you've got me all curious now. Of course, you don't have to tell me but what is your dd's name? Is it something with a similar sound?.... Is it Verity?Smile

crocodilesmiles · 17/08/2012 13:17

Oh, SoupDragon, just seen your above post about Wren being her nickname. I bet it's Seren. Smile Lovely name!

SoupDragon · 17/08/2012 13:29

:)

TeamGB2012 · 17/08/2012 18:12

Call her Jennifer, and nickname Wren
