Baby Boy Name to go with Olivia & Violet

Really struggling to decide in a boys name to go with Olivia (aged 11) and Violet (aged 2).
At the moment we like;

Bobby (hubby's name - not sure if want Bobby

junior)
Freddie
Ruben
Harry
Bertie
Reggie

Surname is Dean.

Would like something a little bit different yet not too obscure or too common.
Thanks!! :-)

Your girls are quite nature-y, so how about Rowan?

LittleWhiteWolf · 14/08/2012 08:35

Don't name your son after your husband. a) he will be called Little Bobby or Booby Jnr all the time and b) its too close a familial relationship IMO for naming-after.

Of your choices I like Freddie best.

Olivia and Violet are lovely names! Smile

Of your boys names listed, I like Rueben (would spell it like this) and Freddie.
Harry is very popular (no. 1 at the mo!) though do like Harris / Harisson.
Dont like Reggie at all.
Bertie and Bobby are ok though would go with Albert or Robert (like Robbie actually).

Other suggestions:
Leo
Finlay
Tommy
Stanley
Toby / Tobias
Rory
Seth
Theo
Patrick (Paddy)
Teddy
Monty

Well I have a Bertie so I vote that Grin

How about Edward? Olivia, Violet and Ted?

Polkadotfanatic · 14/08/2012 08:51

Your girl's names are gorgeous and classic.

Reuben is spelled like this, not the other two ways already listed. (Despite the recent baby name statistics ;) ) It is a great name and the meaning ''Behold! A son'' would seem especially nice after two daughters..

I do like Harry and Freddie from your boys list but as little already said, Harry is the no 1 boys name at present. Not keen on Reggie, makes me think 'Kray' ... Bertie makes me think Bassett (this says more about me than your names, I am sure lol). If you like Albert - how about Albie as nn?

Other suggestions:

Benjamin
Amos
James
Andrew
Stanley
Rex
Charlie
Thomas
Joshua
William
Adam

Congrats :)

Olivia, Violet and Samuel Dean. Has a nice ring to it, first name that came to my head.

EdithWeston · 14/08/2012 09:21

Even though not exact matches, I thought "Shakesperean".

So how about Benedict (Ben), Anthony, Julius/Julian, Ferdinand, Toby, Henry, Richard?
