Edan - too much explaining for two atheists?!

DH and I, like many of you judging by posts, are really struggling to come up with a boys name. We already have a Lukas and have a few girls names on a short list but really, I can see us sweating in panic at the registry office come the six week deadline if it's a boy.

I'm actually really liking the sound of Edan which is apparently Celtic in origin and means fire. But
A) does it sound ridiculous?
B) will I be sick of trying to explain its not Eden which I really DON'T like.

Any help / advice would be very appreciated!

I think of Eden as a girls name (probably because I know one). However, I do have an Aidan.

Also, the river that runs through Carlisle is the river Eden. Not sure how you feel about the concept of naming a child after a river, but that's a non-religious Eden.

My first thought was 'you mean Aedan'.

You do really.
