How about Teddy Bear,i am being serious i think it's great. But rest of family not so sure...

My son is called Edward, everyone calls him Ted (at my request) and I often call him 'Bear'. Works for us!

I wouldnt name my child teddy bear... as a nickname its fine, but as his actual whole life long name? nah..

I was desperate to call my son Teddy, however he ended up being a girl. Who I named Coco, so I'm not a traditionalist when it comes to names.. But teddy BEAR is a bit much even for me...

I think your hormones are sending you crazy. Ted is lovely (biased as it's DS name) but Teddy Bear is crazy bordering on cruelty.

Teddy Bear is not a name for a man really is it? The new person you're creating is only going to be a baby for a very short amount of time, and a man for much longer. Does the name Teddy Bear inspire lustful admiration? No it doesn't, it's twee and cutesy. Don't get freaked out by the idea of your offspring one day inspiring lustful admiration, get used to it

Call him Theodore, or Edward and he can choose to be Ted (and Teddy Bear to his adoring mummy) if he wants.
