Emma, Charlotte, Vanessa, Molly all ruled out for family reasons. Can't have flower names!

So far, have:

Katherine (Katy)
Sophie

Any others welcomed!

Victoria: you can probably use the Russian nn for Victoria, Vika, Vita, or simply Vee. I also know one who goes by the nn Rhea, ("Ree-ah") Hmm

My dd3 is an Anna and I have a S o f i a and the ever popular O name.

GetOrfMoiRing · 02/08/2012 14:28

They are both lovely names but I would urge Katharine and Sophia , personal bias only as those are my dd's names. Grin

rockinhippy · 02/08/2012 14:46

I know 3 Annas well, 2 older adults + 2 small DC, none know each other though, yet all 3 have only sisters named Lucy - IMHO it does work really well

Wigglesrock are there a lot of O's in your daughter's class/nursery?

Or varients thereof. Which there are loads. (Mary, Maria, Marie, Maja, Marian, Moira etc)

wigglesrock · 03/08/2012 11:25

blondie72 there are none, she is 4 going on 5 and starting Primary school in September and she's the only one, intake of 64 children. There were also no others in her nursery school and there's only one for this September going into her nursery school.

So...I like Katharine, NN Katy

DH likes Juilet

Questions: Is it annoying always having to spell Katharine?

Is Juliet too "pretty" compared with Anna, which I see as strong and classic?

Mintyy · 03/08/2012 13:51

Mary

HappyCamel · 03/08/2012 13:56

I think Anna and Juliet go really well together.

wigglesrock · 03/08/2012 14:01

Juliet was my second choice when I picked Anna so they must have been of the same ilk in my mind Grin

Katharine/Catherine/Kathryn/Katherine is lovely but we have a lot in our family so I never really considered it.

Mary is one of my daughters middle name Grin I'm just a big walking Mumsnet name cliche Grin
