Emma and Amelia are both lovely :)

Also like Ciara with a C.

Adela James
Lauren James
Rachel James

Melissa James
Sara James

Keira with a K is normally spelled with the E before the I

manicinsomniac · 01/08/2012 20:23

^^
Not really, both variants were in the top 200 names given in 2010. The Kei version was more common but Kie is hardly unusual

I have an Amelia which is lovely but there are a fair few!

How about Emilia? There are less of them...

Or kaia/Kaiya, Myla?

amck5700 · 01/08/2012 20:58

manic- it may not be unusual, but it isn't the "proper" spelling. The Gaelic spelling of the name that sounds the same is Ciara. Then there is the Scottish surname Keir which is also used as a boys first name - then over time an "a" has been added for girls.

But, like all things a mis-spelling is made somewhere along the line and it then becomes in the common domain, but I still say the proper and normal spelling is Keira even though the Kiera is becoming more prevalent. Personally I would have Ciara instead :)

Like Emma best, Amelia and Kayla are also nice but please God not Chelsea!

I like Emma best. Is James the last name? If it's supposed to be a middle name then I don't like it on a girl at all!!
