But not so may for boys, and am struggling a bit. What do you think of this early list of contenders? Any favourites? Any you're really not keen on, and why?

William (Will or Billy nn)
Robin
Finley (Finn nn)
Hayden
Leo

Finn or Leo are great names.

Williams are ten a penny round here.

Robin is a tricky name to pull off - I imagine not many grown men want to be called after a small red bird...

Hayden is a nice surname.

I only really like William from your list, though the others are perfectly good names.

How about: Timothy, Nicholas, Daniel, Simon, Richard?

Bonsoir · 01/08/2012 10:56

William - very nice, solid, conservative
Robin - a girl's name
Finley - no
Hayden - no no no
Leo - nice

Bruno

William (Will or Billy nn) - great name, definitely the best on your list
Robin - too unisex
Finley (Finn nn) - not keen
Hayden - sounds a bit "wet"
Leo - quite like

How about Theodore/Theo, Samuel/Sam, Benedict/Ben, James, Harrison/Harry?

dillnameddog · 01/08/2012 12:33

William (Will or Billy nn) - lovely
Robin - Okay - not my taste but i like Rob
Finley (Finn nn) - no - loved the name ten years ago, find it irritating now
Hayden - agree with bonsoir!
Leo - I like Leo

Will too close to Willy. Billy is ok.
Robin - great solid name, not overused.
Finley - dull and oversued
Hayden - ok
Leo - nice

I like Bruno very much or how about Dominic, Quentin, Peter?
