Thoughts?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
lisaro · 27/07/2012 09:21

You really don't want to know.

SilveryMoon · 27/07/2012 09:22

Is it for a boy or a girl?
I'm not sure I like it tbh, but if I had to choose, I'd spell it Tate or it just looks made up IMO

MoaningMingeWhingesAgain · 27/07/2012 09:23

Tayto, mmmm crisps

HappyCamel · 27/07/2012 09:26

Not to my taste but if you love it then Tate is better than Tayte, the y is unnecessary. Makes me think of Tate and Lyle sugar.

shimmy0 · 27/07/2012 09:28

Tayto crisps are the best ever and you can buy them in Asda and now you have just made me crave them

DawnOfTheDee · 27/07/2012 09:29

Not my favourite (I'm assuming this is for a boy?) but would definitely spell it Tate rather than Tayte.

Badgerina · 27/07/2012 10:12

No.

MammaTonic · 27/07/2012 10:24

Not to my tastes, OP, but I prefer Tate to Tayte. I assume this would be for a boy?

I thought Tayto too Grin, Tate is alright, makes me think of Little Man Tate or the actor Tate Donovan.

UnimaginitiveDadThemedUsername · 27/07/2012 10:46

Chavtastic.

Sorry, but you did ask.

gymboywalton · 27/07/2012 10:48

it is awful-ugly and scallyish

ExitPursuedByABronzeBear · 27/07/2012 10:48

No

chipsandmushypeas · 27/07/2012 10:53

So a no, then? Grin

I just have no ideas for a boys name to follow James. Thought James Tate sounded quite nice but maybe not. DP didn't like either.

gymboywalton · 27/07/2012 11:00

james luke

james alexander

james michael

james anthony

chipsandmushypeas · 27/07/2012 11:03

I don't really want another traditionally English name after James though, especially as my DPs surname is French double barrelled. Wanted something a little different but not too out there

UnimaginitiveDadThemedUsername · 27/07/2012 11:04

James Montgomery

lollystix · 27/07/2012 11:04

I saw it and thought 'and lyle' (but I have just drunk half a bottle of wine) Grin.

shimmy0 · 27/07/2012 11:05

Why not have a French middle name then?

squoosh · 27/07/2012 11:39

I actually love the name Lyle, don't like Tate quite so much.

belgo · 27/07/2012 11:40

I think Tate is fine, as a first name or a middle name.

5madthings · 27/07/2012 11:42

i like Tate, had my dd been a boy that was going to be her middle name :)

mollymole · 27/07/2012 11:43

YUK !!

FamiliesShareGerms · 27/07/2012 11:49

No, don't like it. No family names to use, either French or English?

chipsandmushypeas · 27/07/2012 12:57

Ok, starting to worry about mn. Just seen the name Mercedes is very much liked yet Tate got "yuk!!" and "awful-ugly" ? Am I missing something?!

OP posts:
gymboywalton · 28/07/2012 23:59

mercedes is a traditional spanish name-the bmw car was named after the designers[?] daughter
