Jonas brothers? Would that bother you?

I do immediately think of Jonas Brothers but I don't expect they'll last that long, so if you love it and can ride out the next 5-10yrs, go for it!

FormerlyTitledUntidy · 23/07/2012 10:20

yep!

EauRouge · 23/07/2012 10:23

No, it makes me think of the Weezer song. Are the Jonas Brothers that famous? I'm too old for them and my DDs are too young so I've missed out on the joys of the Jonas Brothers. Are they are bit like Hanson?

shimmy0 · 23/07/2012 11:24

It reminds me of them and that silly virginity ring that they had going on.

LiteraryMermaid · 23/07/2012 11:32

Jonas brothers, plus a very scary church youth leader I once came across, who had extremely fanatical views! A shame though, as I quite like the way the name sounds.

colleysmill · 23/07/2012 11:36

It makes me think of the Weezer song too!

DoingItForMyself · 23/07/2012 11:48

Maybe now, but in a few years when they've faded into obscurity it won't matter.

My DS's name was a v popular TV cartoon character at the time he was born, I named him regardless as I loved the name and now no-one even remembers the programme.

Its a lovely name, go for it.

likelucklove · 23/07/2012 12:01

Another one thinking of Weezer! But also Jonas brothers...

My friends called their son it 2 years ago and no-one even mentions either of these, it's just his name.

Littlecherublegs · 23/07/2012 12:08

Yep - its the only time I've ever heard it!

Booette · 23/07/2012 18:47

I tried to guess what you'd put and Jonas brothers was my second thought. My first was the actor who played Robin Hood in the recent BBC series! I'm obviously too old for the Jonas brothers!

I don't think it would be a problem, it's a lovely name.

4boyzmum · 23/07/2012 18:51

my first thought was Jonas Armstrong (i think his surname is!?), he played Robin Hood like post above said. He's gorgeous! Wink Didn't think Jonas Brothers at all.

TidyDancer · 23/07/2012 18:53

Yes and yes. Which is a shame as it's quite a nice name. I could never use it though.

Frikadellen · 23/07/2012 19:42

I think of Whale. as in the biblical story.

Wouldnt bother me it is a nice name

FamiliesShareGerms · 23/07/2012 19:44

Yes!

And the whale (although it was Jonah, it's close enough)

I like it, though it's potentially a tricky name depending on your surname

Badgerina · 24/07/2012 08:26

Good name. Weezer. Jonas Brothers. Weird fanatical beliefs. Robin Hood. Good name.

iliketea · 24/07/2012 08:39

I think it's a great name, I know a lovely Jonas (pronounced Yonas) as he's danish.

naturalbaby · 24/07/2012 16:44

No. I thought Jonah and the whale.

hellymelly · 24/07/2012 16:49

Makes me think of my best male friend. He is lovely (swedish).

yellowflowers · 24/07/2012 18:05

No but I am 34 and too old for the jonas brothers

theroseofwait · 24/07/2012 19:08

No, my first thought was ' as in Carter. . . ? '

Been househunting too long, I guess!!!

lopsided · 24/07/2012 19:30

No it makes me think of Lottas brother in the Astrid Lindgren books. Brilliant name.

lopsided · 24/07/2012 19:31

Also I'm too old to make the Jonas brothers association, though I have heard of them :)

Ninjacat · 24/07/2012 19:49

It makes me think of my own brother, Jonas.
He likes his name.
I like his name ;-)

NarkedRaspberry · 24/07/2012 19:51

Jonas brothers and Jonas (yo-nas) Bjorkman.
