I'm not keen, sorry.

Makes me think of the 7 dwarf song - "IO IO it's off to work we go". Although I have no idea why that leapt to mind, maybe I'm just being weird tonight.

It's just a bit too short for me. And no consonants.

I do like the fact that it's from Greek mythology, and it's also something to do with Jupiter isn't it - a moon or something?

Quite like it, you could always go with Iona and then have Io as the shortened form.

One of Jupiter's moons, named after a priestess that Zeus seduced and then turned into a heifer.

And having just looked, less than 3 girls in 2010 (possibly zero) were named Io, so not a popular name either.

Wasn't the mythical Io blind or am I confusing it with a discworld book, anyway, I don't think it has great connotations.

But less than 3 (and again, possibly zero) boys named Io in 2010, so certainly not popular as a boys name either.

I love the names Hebe and Juno, but think Io is a bit short.

Sounds like a short American pop artiste to me.

I like it as i love the Greek myths but how well it'll be recieved by joe public will depend on where you live Liberal Islington you'd be fine but maybe not in the provinces
