We have struggled to come up with girls names we both like, dh has been very fussy. We now have a short list of Rachel, Rebecca and Hannah, being our prefered choice, now need a middle name to go with.

Mae?

nannyof3 · 18/07/2012 15:44

Grace?? Look at baby name genie, u put in baby name and surname and a middle name will be generated

lilolilmanchester · 18/07/2012 15:45

how many syllables does your surname have? That might have a bearing on it

MammaTonic · 18/07/2012 15:46

I know a 16yo Hannah-Mae. She's just lovely :)

Give us a clue, OP: why sort of names do you like as middle names? Traditional? Modern? One-syllable? Etc.

I was about to say rose

Hannah Margaret
Hannah Elizabeth
Hannah Rose
Hannah Kate / Katherine
Hannah Louise
Hannah Grace (although they have the same meaning)
Hannah Rosaline

I think Hannah's a classix name, so can go with lots names as a middle name.

VolAuVent · 18/07/2012 16:02

Felicity
Victoria
Melissa
Juliet

... or use one of those you don't choose as first name, as the middle name. Hannah Rachel, Hannah Rebecca, Rebecca Rachel, Rachel Hannah would all be lovely :)

Hubby likes traditional names, I'm more open to options. Our surname starts with G and has 2 syllables.
So grace is out, its a lovely name tho, I like kate and louise

iliketea Hubby had come up with Margaret after his mother.

Are there any family names you like?

My DD1s middle name is Rose (like almost every girl born since 2005 - think the others are all mostly Grace, Lilly or May!!) and although I do love DD1s name, I wished afterwards that I'd used one of mine or my husband's grandmother's names instead. When DD2 was born that's what we did. We'll do the same with DC3 too.

nizlopi · 18/07/2012 20:11

Hannah Elizabeth.

(dont use Mae.)

princelypurpleparrot · 18/07/2012 20:14

I wanted to call a DD (never had one) Hannah May as it was my GGM's name and I think it's lovely. We also have a two syllable surname and I thought it flowed really well.

PickleLittle · 18/07/2012 22:37

Clare/Claire

VickyU · 21/07/2012 01:57

My sister is Hannah Mary Alice which I think is lovely but maybe you wouldn't consider two middle names...

CheerfulYank · 21/07/2012 04:10

My cousin's name is Hannah Taylor Surname.
