Verity?

Verucca? Wink

Why do you ask? Vera is a name in its own right - it means truth. It's a very nice name.

It's my DDs middle name. Seems to be gaining a little in popularity, and is definitely a name in its own right.

Vera is a name.

A nice name.

I like Vera as a name in its own right - I don't like most of the names suggested here as "long forms" of Vera.

Anyway, if you use one of the long forms, there's no guarantee it will get shortened to Vera. Once she starts school - nicknames are out of your control!

Verasha
Verushka
Elvira (Vira)

Yeah, my friend's mum is called Elvira and gets called Vera by all.

I really like just Vera though.

candytuft63 · 18/07/2012 17:13

Valentina is a lovely name.

Aloe Wink

I love Elvira, but not Vera

nappyaddict · 20/07/2012 10:38

I saw Elvira but does it sound to much like Aloe Vera?

No, Elvira is great. Vera is closer to Aloe vera I think.
