Does this rhyme too much?

Hello!
I've always loved the name Kaia/Kaiya but DH vetoed it for DD1 because he said it rhymes w our surname....now pregnant with DD2 and still love the name (and DH for sure convince-able this time!)...what do you think? Our surname sounds like RYE-oh.

Kaia RYE-oh....is it too rhyme-y or only a bit rhyme-y and we can get away with it?

Thanks!

Congratulations. Smile

Think it's the wrong kind of rhyming - in my head the two sounds together sound like a dodgy pronounciation of Cairo.
Kaia is a lovely name though - could you use it as a middle name?

Maybe use Katarina instead as the two names are linked?

Yep, 'Blimey O'Riley.'
I would avoid /y/ and /r/ with an /a/ ending. If you could get a consonant in there it would be less of a tongue twister eg Kasha (another Katerina nickname). Or an opposite sort of vowel too eg Gina
