I like these names - what else might I like?

Jacob (Would be called Jake, - I think I'm the only person with this preference. Worried there will be loads of them in the class.)

Levi (Does it make you think of reggae reggae sauce?)

Leo

I love Sebastien, but DH has ruled it out.

We also like Arthur and Theo, but they are ruled out as DH can't say "th."

Hey just to say I like, Jacob/Jake, Levi and maybe Seb but not Sebastian (always makes me think of a posh boy) and I like Theo and Leo. Maybe stick with Leo as DH can't say Theo lol
If you like Arthur, what about Alfie? or is that too popular?

shockers · 14/07/2012 13:49

I really love the name Leo Smile.

AnaisB · 14/07/2012 14:00

Thanks:
BabyStone I don't mind Alfie, but I can't picture it for someone over 10. I would definitely use Seb rather than Sebastian, but DH says it reminds him of the word "Sebaceous."

Arthur is definitely out now as DM has just reminded me that her mum pronounces "th" as "s" (she is German.)

Love Leo! Would use myself if it wasn't so close to DB's name.

How about...
Eli
Rex
Kit (for Christopher or not)
Ted (for Edward or not)
Albert (Bertie)
Adam
Oliver (might be quite a few around - just thinking about your concerns on Jake)

I have a Levi and also a Saul. If DD had been a boy she would have been Zeke, short for Ezekiel. The boys middle names are Reuben and Elijah.

twonker · 14/07/2012 23:27

Raphael?

bamboozledAardvark · 14/07/2012 23:30

We have a Levi - tis fab! Other names on our list were -

Zane
Idris
Saul
Roman
Eli

Good luck choosing :)

LeesBeauty85 · 14/07/2012 23:38

Albie, or the full name Albert x

AnaisB · 15/07/2012 05:56

Thanks for all your replies. It's surprising how many names on here were already on my "almost made it list." I love Ezekiel nickname Zeke, but DH thinks "Z" is to hard a letter. I've also suggested Zane and got the same response. We both like Adam and Luke, but they are close friends. Just going to google "Idris".....

Hector

i also really like Leon

BabyStone · 15/07/2012 17:03

What about Archie? Like the name Luke too, or Lucas? Zach/Zachary although Zeke does sound more original.
U could have Arthur if you really like it, DH could just say Arfur lol or Arty, my uncle is Arthur and aunt calls him Art

AnnaNimitty · 16/07/2012 15:14

There used to be a very well known soft drink called Idris, and it had an even
more well-known advert which said "I drinks Idris when I's dry". But this seems to have escaped the Mumsnet audience for some reason!
