What do you lot think of my girls name list

I am 35+4 and we don't know what we are having which whilst exciting has made choosing a name pretty tricky. We've had no problems with a boys name but are struggling with a girls name.

Bit of cultural background, both my DH & I have quite a mix heritage; Scandinavian, German, Welsh, Irish & English.

What do you think of my not very extensive full list? :)

Isn't Inge pronounced Inga though?

I read it as 'ing-a' so not rhyming with minge!!!

I like them all, especially Edda and Mila :)

I like Romilly and Mila and I love Amalia!

Have you considered Astala and Amara? Similar and also nice I think.

Ha ha @ Inge/minge!! Well that's that one off the list then, shame as its one of my faves but this is the problem with German/Scando names I think!

That's a nice collection of names! I think Romilly and Astrid are my favourites.

Mila and Astrid are my favourites.

I like Inge and mila :)

Mila is short for milagros in Spanish, meaning miracles, which is a lovely meaning.
Alternative to romilly; romola.

I love the name Astrid :) its going to be our baby's middle name as it's oh grandma's name.

Klara is very pretty but if you will be teaching your child a scandinavian language it means "finished" i teach a girl called klara and she hates it.. but if she will only speak english it wont be an issue.

I live in Sweden so i can offer some more scandinavian name options if you like (alltho i think you have a lovely set to choose from)

I'm not at all obsessed with name popularity, I would like something that touches on either mine or DH's heritage not that there's much Welsh in there but it's ok as he's got Scando too

Dislike: Inge, Edda and Amalia

I really love Romilly, Klara and Amalia.
Mila is cute, but seems like a nickname for something to me, the miracle idea is lovely, though.
Astrid seems too much like a bully's dream for me. That first syllable could cause her trouble.
Edda and Inge are not to my taste.

I have my grandmothers middle name and would love to use my mothers but she hates it (she has a nn that has been used since she was little) I'll throw that in the mix too

Amaris? - it's a wee bit softer than some of your other options but my favourite of those would be Mila

Birgitta is very pretty, though a bit tricky for us Brits to pronounce in that nice soft scandinavian way!

I liked Astrid and Inge best. But the minge thing has put me off! I like Birgitta too. :)

If you were worried about the minge thing, couldn't you spell it 'Inga'? I'm sure that's how I've seen it (though admittedly, I think that was in the Chalet School and therefore of dubious accuracy!)

Mila - No so keen on the 'meel' sound in names.
Edda - Lovely.
Inge - Lovely.
Klara - Lovely.
Romilly - not overly keen
Amalia - Pretty
Astrid - Lovely.

I think I'd go for Inde/Inga or Klara

What about Hedda? Or Karin? (I don't know many Scandinavian names!)
