I'm guessing that's in the USA? Buddy and Buster?

Awful lot of human names there! What happened to Rover?

ornellaia · 08/07/2012 15:10

My dog's name isn't on there, but my DD's is Grin

NarkedRaspberry · 08/07/2012 16:39

Bailey, Buddy, Rocky, Cody and Buster are not nice names for dogs. Even American ones.

NarkedRaspberry · 08/07/2012 16:41

I only use names for dogs that would be nice for DC. It's actually a great chance to use names you like that are ruled out by your surname/being madly popular.

NarkedRaspberry · 08/07/2012 16:47

Nice link from 2007. Apparently the 10 most popular names chosen (by those of us who insure them) for pets in the UK are almost identical to the 10 most popular names for children in the UK.

NarkedRaspberry · 08/07/2012 16:48

England and Wales, not the UK.

Many of dd's mates are rescue dogs, so come pre-named... he is Max. Others in the park are Polly, Molly, Jack, Jess, Lucy,Morgan, Winston, Millie,Tilly...and Torres. I like retro names like Rover and Fido.

SPsFanjoLovesRussellHoward · 10/07/2012 11:30

My dog is called Carling

Jackie432 · 13/07/2012 16:34

Dogs names I know are Buster, Rocky, Daisy, Tess and Woof!!

squoosh · 13/07/2012 16:40

I hate boring 'baby' names for dogs. I mean Molly or Max?

At least go for Hilda or Gustav, or something a bit more impressive to shriek on the beach.
