Opinions on boy's name Toby James??

Hi all!

Just joined, so this is my first post on here!

I hope you can help. We are almost decided on the name Toby James if we have a boy (just over a week to go with a yellow bump!).
Thing is, we both really like it but I have a niggle that people will think of it as a dog's name??

What do you think??

My brother in law is Toby James. A fine name for a lovely man. I don't think of it as a dog's name.

I like it - though would probably go for Tobias James with the nn Toby.

I have known one boy called Tobias and one dog called Toby.

I like the suggestions of Tobias with Toby as nn. Gives him options :)

DH likes the idea of Tobias with nn Toby but I'm not keen and would rather have Toby as a stand alone name.
Girl's name we've finally decided on is Elsie.

Love it! But then I have a Toby Jay.
