Have a thing about names ending in 'a'. Big sister's name is Claudia.

Emilia and Louisa are beautiful.

VolAuVent · 03/07/2012 14:58
  1. Emilia
  2. Louisa
  3. Camilla
TeaandHobnobs · 03/07/2012 14:59

I like Emilia - particularly that spelling

catus · 03/07/2012 15:00

Louisa.
Emilia is too delicate.
Camilla doesn't sound that nice.

Stellan · 03/07/2012 16:54

I'd pick either Louisa or Camilla.

Emilia/Amelia is very pretty but much more popular than Claudia so I think there would be a bit of a mismatch between your daughters' names if you chose it.

They are all very beautiful choices.

dillnameddog · 03/07/2012 21:29

I would have said Camilla, but not with Claudia as a sister. I really love the name Louisa, which is classic and elegant. I like Emilia a lot, but would probably avoid because of the popularity of Amelia.

All lovely names, I agree.

BlueChampagne · 04/07/2012 13:07

Louisa

IslaValargeone · 04/07/2012 13:08

Camilla

darkfever · 04/07/2012 22:51

I love Camilla. But DH vetoed it due to the royal connection Sad

I like Louisa better than Emilia.

SaliFourth · 04/07/2012 23:03

Love Louisa.

storytopper · 05/07/2012 00:01

Love Louisa and Emilia. I know a really lovely Emilia from the Philippines. Not so keen on Camilla -spoiled by royal connection.

GetOrfMoiiLand · 05/07/2012 00:03

All of them are beautiful names.

I too like names ending in a. My dd is a Sophia.

baskingseals · 05/07/2012 07:12

I'd chooose Louisa

manicinsomniac · 05/07/2012 09:39

Camilla is my favourite, then Emilia.

I don't like Louisa

Popoozle · 05/07/2012 09:46

Louisa. I am a little biased as Louisa is DD's middle name though Grin.

If you like names ending in a, have you considered Eliza?

bassingtonffrench · 05/07/2012 10:17

louisa by miles.

why not name her after your big sis? Claudia is lovely and I'm sure she'd be flattered.

bassingtonffrench · 05/07/2012 10:18

ah, right, you mean her big sis, not your big sis! you don't want two claudias!!

slartybartfast · 05/07/2012 10:20

ha ha bassing.. Grin

like camilla, bet its not popular
and i like louisa

randomimposter · 05/07/2012 12:11

With Claudia I would go for Luisa, but I also love Emilia.

MammaTonic · 05/07/2012 15:07

I like Louisa but personally prefe te spelling Luisa.

I prefer Camille to Camilla, but understand that you may not ecause of your 'a' ending preference.

Emilia is lovely, but as another poster said, there may be confusion with Amelia. This might drive the potential Emilia crazy as she grows! Emilia/Amelia=lovely.

stclair · 06/07/2012 17:16

Thanks all for your replies, helpful to get good feedback. I also have a wee issue with Camilla and the royal connection, although when DD2 is an adult THE Camilla probably won't be thought of. Tend to find Emilia a bit of a mouthful to say! So thinking I'm swaying towards Louisa now . . . for now.

We also love 'a' ending names and chose them for our DDs. Personal feeling is that Louisa sounds best. Enjoy your lovely girls. It's fab with two Smile

WinkyWinkola · 06/07/2012 17:45

Emilia is such a beautiful name.

OliviaLMumsnet · 06/07/2012 17:48

I love Emilia but I do know of lots of them atm.
If that doesn't bother you, then go for it.
I quite like Lulu as a nn for Louisa too.
