DC4 is due in a couple of weeks. We have 3 DDs, all with fairly 'normal' names.

DC4 will be

Henry Austin
or
Harriet Lily

Both mns are family names. DD3 has SEN so we have chosen names she can say easily, Harriet will be Hattie.

Be kind!!! :)

I like both. Good work!

VolAuVent · 03/07/2012 11:46

Both lovely names :)

EdithWeston · 03/07/2012 11:47

I think they're both lovely.

Scatterplot · 03/07/2012 11:47

Great names!

birdofthenorth · 03/07/2012 12:26

Love Henry Austin. Both fab names. Like Harriet/ Hattie too. Lily is a bit meh to me but if it's a family name that enriches the meaning. I bascially think middle names exist to honour family members so it's a pretty good one in that context!

Well done now releax

chrisrobin · 03/07/2012 12:28

Love them

AWomanCalledHorse · 03/07/2012 12:30

Love Henry Austin & Harriet.
Not to keen on Lily, but it's great that your using a name that means something to the family! :)

SoozyWoozy · 03/07/2012 12:52

I'm cheating with Lily a little bit... the family name is Susan (which I hate!) and have managed to get away with not using so far. I've since found it means lily, so it is my way of compromising and stops my mother nagging me

Lovely to see such positive responses, thank you :)

All great apart from Austin.

IawnCont · 03/07/2012 13:37

Henry is great! Not keen on Harriet (I am weird about posh names, please ignore me) but I love Hattie.

ComradeJing · 03/07/2012 13:41

I ADORE Henry Austin. Perfect, perfect name.

Harriet Lily very nice too.

birdofthenorth · 03/07/2012 16:07

Have you thought about Harriet Susannah? Not as dated as Susan?

Aworryingtrend · 03/07/2012 16:38

Both lovely.

Teladi · 03/07/2012 16:41

I have a 10mo Harriet. She is just Harriet and that seems to be working so far, though her granddad likes to call her Hattie.

I love Henry too!

AThingInYourLife · 03/07/2012 16:47

Susan is better than Lily.

CPtart · 03/07/2012 16:52

Lovely boys names.
Harriet is also lovely but dislike Hattie (and lily!)

squoosh · 03/07/2012 17:35

Although I don't really like Hattie/Harriet I kind of do as that's the name of a character in one of my all time favourite children's books 'Tom's Midnight Garden'.

gladders · 03/07/2012 18:29

both very sweet names (although I may have a slight bias!) - I was going to suggest Susannah as well - prefer it to lily personally?

Austin does have the Powers link, I know. Just hoping it will disappear DC and friends :) Besides, the only other name I would want to use is DH's name, Paul and I just can't get the 'Henri Paul' link out of my mind when I hear it (the man who was driving the car Princess Di was killed in. Random, I know!)

bird DH's ex-girlfriend was Susannah so rules that out, although it is pretty.

Both great names!

Lovely names!

DottieRose · 13/07/2012 17:16

They are beautiful names! Congrats

Emmeric · 15/07/2012 22:22

Love them both.

StrawberryMojito · 15/07/2012 22:24

I really like both. Susan is a really inoffensive middle name though...go on, make your mum happy!
