Hi all

Can I have Layla if a cousin I see once a year (max) also has it for her daughter? Loved it anyway but heard the Eric Clapton song twice while driving on Sat and felt like it was telling me something possibly that I'm weird

I love it with the middle name she has too (Rose) but I defo can't have that as is my pregnant sis in laws name and she's using it as a middle name for her DD - think we can safely say it's 'hers'.

Also, what middles names work well? I Was thinking maybe Layla Evelyn Grace or Layla Evelyn May?

Finally, does Layla go with my surname which rhymes with Pricer? Dh thinks not but I don't get why?

Yes you may.

Depends how often they'll be in the same room, I'd say.

In my family there are 2 cousins with the same name, first and surname (male) but one lived on the IOM and we never saw him, so it didn't really matter.

I wouldn't but then again I'm quite close to my cousins.

I'd just want my daughter to have her own name and people to associate it only with her, not with another relative.

not sure that I would myself - dd1 is Catherine and her cousin is Karen (which is really the same name), and everyone is always tripping over their tongues with all the Ka sounds! but if you really like it, then you should.

My dd has the same name as dh cousins dd

Wouldn't have used it if I had bloody told!! But that's my personal preference, theres nothing wrong with doing it (it's just DHs family always fecking do and now they think I did it on purpose!!)
I only found out when dd was about 6

It's a cousin I hardly see (am not close to) If it was a cousin I am close to, I definitely wouldn't do it.

I will still check OK with her first and then ignore if she says no :)
