Sally - nice or old hat? Also DS is Jasper - would Jasper and Sally sound like a pair of labradors to you?

Sally is beautiful.

kitsonkittykat · 14/06/2012 17:14

Sally is very sweet and goes well with Jasper! Definately not a pair of labs.

StepOutOfSpring · 14/06/2012 17:20

Pair of labs IMHO, sorry!

4goingon14 · 14/06/2012 17:31

Yep pair of labs would about describe it. Not good.

Jasper is nice...just not paired with Sally.

McKayz · 14/06/2012 17:32

See I probably wouldn't have thought pair of labs until you said it.

I love Jasper but not Sally.

anniewoo · 14/06/2012 19:06

Sally is lovely. My 2nd doll!!

TinkerMaloo · 14/06/2012 19:24

Sally is quite nice, but I prefer Sylvie (just suggested it as the sounds are similar and I think it goes better with your Jasper!)

BorisJohnsonsHair · 14/06/2012 19:25

I really like the name Sally, but I don't think it's in the same vein as Jasper.

PullUpAPew · 14/06/2012 19:26

Does it matter if they go together? Sally is nice. Labradors - yes, a bit, but labradors are nice too.

Staceisace · 16/06/2012 19:50

Sally and Jasper together sound like a pair of labs (well named labs!) but separately they're fine.

Lunarlyte · 16/06/2012 20:31

Jasper is quite an unusual name; well, maye not thatunsusal, but IMHO, just on the border of being 'normal' and 'out there'. I really like it :) However, Sally - although a perfectly decent, pretty name - is just a bit ... plain. Sort of on a par with Jane/Susan/Suzanne/Lucy.

I can't think of a girls name off the top of my head to go with the lovely Jasper. Jasper is a semi-precious gem, so maybe you could generate name with a like meaning?

Maisie
Bo
Amber

See now i think that Jasper and Sally are in a very different vein to each other also. Not sure why!

I have an Aunt Sally and that just reminds me of Worzel Gummidge...lol

I know a few Sallys and they are all really lovely people. I think it's a great, really friendly name!

CrapBag · 16/06/2012 22:13

I don't think it sounds like a pair of labardors at all.

I wouldn't worry about whether the names go together, if I like a name I would use it and not bother to pair it with a siblings name.

At least you won't be accused of making up a name anyway. Smile

randomimposter · 17/06/2012 10:16

unusual these days I would say, but nice enough. And no, I didn't think of dogs!

Not quite as exotic as Jasper though - I know a Jasper and Siena.

AdventuresWithVoles · 17/06/2012 10:28

labradors, now that you mention it :).

kickingKcurlyC · 17/06/2012 11:26

I think it's fine with Jasper.
