What do you think of this as a middle name? The other DC each have a middle name after people who mean something special to us, so we thought this time we should go for a place special to us as Harlyn Bay is where DH and I met. I reckon it's pretty unisex, so could use if for either gender. What do you think?

I assumed it was for a boy, if that helps Smile

I like it, we considered Harlan for DS.

PepperOnMyPaprikash · 14/06/2012 22:15

I think it is fine for a boy. As Lakota said upthread, Lyn is a Welsh men's name, as is Glyn, so no problem there in my eyes.

Oh no, not a fan, sorry.

Trevone? (my other fav beach Smile)

I like it and LOVE the sentiment. Works for a girl or a boy. I'm all for slightly kooky middle names Grin

How about

Harlyn for a girl

Bay for a boy?

If you have another of opposite gender, you could use the other one.

randomimposter · 15/06/2012 10:49

I know a 4 year old Harlyn (boy). I think it's a fine name.

UnSocialite · 15/06/2012 19:41

I really like the idea of Bay as a middle name, thanks :)

Male definitely, we named the dog Harlyn after the bay

I actually thought this was a thread about a boy's first name - probably associated it with the name Harley. I think it's a fine middle name for either gender and it's nice that it has a meaning.

I think it's lovely for either a boy or a girl, and the meaning makes it really special.
