Im having another girl!

Middle name is to be Rose. Dh has vetoed my favorite, Magda, yet again. Ive vetoed his first choice Barbara. We are down to Imogen, Tabitha or Phoebe. Any opinions, or other ideas?

Hee-bee is the pronunciation. It's a type of bush/plant but can be used as a name.

lollystix · 13/06/2012 21:04

Just googled it. Infact Hebe was the Greek goddess of youth.

Nospringflower · 13/06/2012 21:06

Love Tabitha, Phoebe is ok to me and not keen at all on Imogen.

Katz · 13/06/2012 21:07

I'd have to say Phoebe, i have one, like others imogen reminds me of the BB girl and Tabitha is a cat.

My other DD is Annalise - another name for you to add to the mix

After a lot of discussion, we decided on Merryn, middle name Barbara. I had to give way on the middle name, but just couldnt give her the same name as a lush product (Imogen Rose)! Thank you for telling me about the Lush thing!

I still am not keen on Barbara, but you barely hear or use their middle name anyway, and it has significance for dh.

Thank you all for helping! Grin

Beautiful name, Merryn Barbara, I like it!

ilovemybum · 14/06/2012 08:02

My 2 year old niece is Imogen Rose and it suits her down to the ground :)

  1. Imogen Rose
  2. Phoebe Rose
  3. Tabitha Rose
persephoneplum · 14/06/2012 13:57

Wow, the thread went from:

  1. Phoebe
  2. Tabitha

ADORE

Imogen

Ok

Merryn

Eeek

SkinnyVanillaLatte · 14/06/2012 14:03

Merryn is absolutely gorgeous.

I think a name of significance as a middle name is a fine thing to grow up with.

squoosh · 14/06/2012 14:06

She might get called Merry Babs for short Grin

Probably only suitable for a 16th century serving wench though!

persephoneplum · 14/06/2012 14:07

OOh love Merry Babs!!

Lannie33 · 14/06/2012 15:38

I would go for either Merryn, Imogen or Phoebe. I think Tabitha is horrid too (sorry).

kitsonkittykat · 14/06/2012 17:44

Merry Babs! Shock How cool is that! The name has definately stuck. I was so stuck on Magda Rose, I felt a bit disappointed, but Merry is just perfect.

I love all 3 OP - sorry not much help Grin

halcyondays · 16/06/2012 10:31

I really like Tabitha and Imogen. I'm not keen on Phoebe.

Staceisace · 16/06/2012 19:01

Phoebe is my favourite of the three but I like all of them. I know a five week old baby Imogen and a six month old Tabitha but no Phoebes.

octaviarose · 16/06/2012 19:50

How would you all pronounce Ianthe?

bouncysmiley · 16/06/2012 20:09

Imogen lovely but popular (depends if that bothers you) Pheobe or Tabitha are also lovely and more unusual but Tabitha goes with Rose better.

StepOutOfSpring · 16/06/2012 20:18

JazzAnnNonMouse · 17/06/2012 01:03

Imogen

FairLadyRantALot · 17/06/2012 01:22
