What do we think?

I had a dream about the name Loveday. I had never heard the name before! Well, must have done, but it was deep in my subconscious!

Bit of research and it is a Cornish girl's name. We are having a girl, and live in.... Cornwall!! Grin

So... what do we think?

First name will be Nancy. My be some other middle names but they are also unusual and don't want to out myself..... Confused

So we don't think two names ending in "y" is a problemo?

It makes me think of Lovejoy a bit...

Pixieonthemoor · 09/06/2012 18:33

SO sweet. I would def go for it!

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 09/06/2012 18:37

I think it's lovely - I know it from some of the Chalet school stories. And the two names end in different sounds so the fact they both rnd in 'y' doesn't matter, in my opinion.

In fact, I wish I could have a little Loveday of my own now - though it's not going to happen - I've got three teenage dses and we've stopped there.

GnocchiNineDoors · 09/06/2012 18:43

No, no problem with two Y endings as the sounds are different

NanSEEEEE LovedAAAAYY

gnocci · 09/06/2012 18:48

Love loveday.... A friends dd is called Loveday. I'd never heard of it but it's gorgeous!

UnexpectedItemInShaggingArea · 09/06/2012 20:13

I know a 60 ish Loveday and she is fabulous. She has always loved her name.

I seriously considered it but was vetoed.

I think you should upgrade it to first name (Nancy is great too) :)

thegreylady · 09/06/2012 20:24

Gorgeous-buy her a copy of The Little White Horse by Elizabeth Goudge as a naming gift. The character Loveday Minette in that story is wonderful.

diavlo · 09/06/2012 21:13

Absolutely gorgeous, I wish I'd used it as my dd's middle name. I've liked the name since coming accross it in a Rosamund Pilcher novel.
