Love Dorothy.

misslinnet · 08/06/2012 00:10

I like Constance best.

Clementine just reminds me of oranges.

SaliFourth · 08/06/2012 00:13

Clementine or Constance.

saffronwblue · 08/06/2012 00:18

Love Clementine and Constance.

baskingseals · 08/06/2012 07:17

like Constance, and the nickname Coco

underthevalley · 08/06/2012 09:01

Dorothy.
I have a 'thing' about Constance.
I like Polly (I also like it as a nn for Mary)

pickledparsnip · 08/06/2012 09:05

I love all of them, but Polly less so. Constance was my Great Grandmother's name, nn Connie. I've always loved it.

tabulahrasa · 08/06/2012 09:11

Not Constance...I have nothing against the name itself, but it's hard to say Constance's whatever.

Constance's mum, Constance's juice, Constance's slippers...

DottieRose · 08/06/2012 09:35

Prolly gets my vote, with Dorothy in second place nn Dot!!

StepOutOfSpring · 08/06/2012 09:48
  1. Constance (Connie as nn)
  2. Clementine
  3. Dorothy
  4. Polly
tummytickler · 08/06/2012 11:02

Dorothy
Polly
Clementine
Constance

I really dislike Constance, mainly, I think, because Connie is such an awful nn.
Dorothy has loads of lovely nn, and Polly is very cute too.

TheNightWatch · 08/06/2012 11:11

Connie was the sister in the Godfather, one of my favourite films. Thats not why its come up though. I did work with one that wasnt very nice thats why its on the list but not the winner. I never thought of CoCo.

Polly is so twee - would avoid.

Ellypoo · 08/06/2012 16:02

DD1 was Constance with nn Nancy.
Polly quite popular now?
I like Clementine although it does make me think of oranges; not overly keen on Dorothy.

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 08/06/2012 16:05

Constance is beautiful.

Not big on the others I'm afraid, but how about Clemency?

MarySA · 08/06/2012 16:08

I like Constance best. Dorothy and Clementine are nice too. Absolutely not Polly. So twee.

WifiNappies · 08/06/2012 16:09

Constance

pinkyrabbit · 08/06/2012 16:10

Polly - love it ;-)

AdventuresWithVoles · 08/06/2012 16:11

Constance (Connie) is only one I like.
Clementine & Dorothy make me wince.

jujak · 09/06/2012 08:03

Dorothy, Polly, Constance, Clementine... We have decided on Dorothy but Polly and Connie were on our list originally.....I am loving all these old fashioned names coming back Smile

jan2011 · 09/06/2012 08:04

Polly is very sweet

RooibosWithMilk · 10/06/2012 18:35

In order of preference...

  1. Clementine
  2. Constance
  3. Polly
  4. Dorothy
BellaOfTheBalls · 10/06/2012 18:45

Constance or Dorothy (Dotty).

I know LOADS of Polly's

kickingKcurlyC · 11/06/2012 18:18

Constance, then Dorothy, then the other two joint last. (Although they're not awful!)

SuperScrimper · 13/06/2012 13:33

Constance is the best by far for me. Can be Connie as a child, but then has a lovely grown up name too.

Clementine is very twee for me. Too much of the 'Tilly' 'Millie' type names for me personally. Plus it would always remind people of oranges Grin I read something yesterday about that Alicia Duvall naming her DD Papaya and everyone laughed at the idea of a child sharing a name with a fruit Hmm It is a bit weird!
