I love this name.

How many are out there? (particularly in Britain, I realise it's popular in Eastern Europe and other European countries),

If you know one how old are they? What do they get called?

I don't know any, but I love the name, and it was one of the only names DH and I agreed on for our girls list.

Pandygirl · 06/06/2012 23:03

No, but I love it.

Yes, a 20 year old.

mamalovesmojitos · 06/06/2012 23:04

Beautiful name btw.

iloveACK · 06/06/2012 23:04

I love the name but don't know anyone in real life called it.

[If it helps, It was a name from one of the characters in my Latin books in school & also the name of a character in Love Actually Grin]

My husband's (Italian origin) great uncle was named Aurelio - he offered a small inheritance if any younger relative was named after him. Sadly, no-one took him up on it. Oddly, his nickname was Babe (not much help, sorry).

choppychopster · 06/06/2012 23:07

Yes, a friend of DSIL. She's in her early 20s. Very pretty name.

StepOutOfSpring · 06/06/2012 23:07

It's a lovely name. Never met an Aurelia in real life - or in fiction apart from on Love Actually.

DottieRose · 06/06/2012 23:09

It's a cosmetic surgery clinic here in Ireland and has adds on the tele for it! Don't know if that's an issue if your not in Ireland!

Hope88 · 06/06/2012 23:13

5 year old girl.

salvadory · 06/06/2012 23:16

Yes, a lovely French girl I worked with in the mid 90's, she'd be in her early 30's now. I like it especially when said in a French accent, even Julie is pretty in a French accent.

FormerlyTitledUntidy · 06/06/2012 23:19

Oh it's lovely. It's on our middle name list
Salvadory, Julie is pretty anyway :(

salvadory · 06/06/2012 23:23

Not when it is said in a North western accent it isn't! Mind you even Aurelian may struggle in the same situation.

hiveofbees · 06/06/2012 23:32

I dont know any, but love the name.

duchesse · 06/06/2012 23:45

NurseBernard · 07/06/2012 01:48

No-one. Beautiful name.

SkipTheLightFanjango · 07/06/2012 01:50

One, currently in reception year at school. Lovely name.

TheHouseOnTheCorner · 07/06/2012 01:58

I love t and thought of it for DD1 but I was worried people might say it wrongly...I say it "Or-Elia" to rhyme with PAW...and thought people might say "Ow-Realia" to rhyme with Cow...

TheHouseOnTheCorner · 07/06/2012 01:58

Should point out...the Elia it I say EElia...not EL-ia.

[if that's confusing enough!)

ICutMyFootOnOccamsRazor · 07/06/2012 02:05

Yes, I know one. She lives in the UK but is originally Basque. She's in her 70s.

I've known her all my life and have never heard anyone call her anything other than Aurelia.

Wasn't there also an Aurelia in Ecce Romani? Grin

evamummy · 07/06/2012 07:06

I know a boy called Aurelien. His dad is French.

chocoroo · 07/06/2012 07:09

Love it. It was our alternative middle name for DD. suspect we'll use it if we ever have another.
