You dont have to like it, although feel free to say either way if you wish, i was wondering whether you would first imagine a boy or a girl if you heard this name? and also if there are any nicknames/shortenings? I know you dont need one, it isnt a long name, but i do tend to shorten names and would like the option i think.

Can you tell this is DH's suggestion and I'm trying to like it enough to use Grin

I know one Logan, think it's in the top ten boy's names in Scotland. I like it

Bibblebobbleparsnip · 06/06/2012 22:06

Boy! And reminds me of the character in Gilmore Girls (oooh, yes pur-lease!)

Boy. LoLo, Logo.

Yellowballs · 06/06/2012 22:15

I have a Logan. We call him loges or logi. I like his name, there aren't many in our area.

Badgerina · 06/06/2012 23:36

Its a boy's name to my ears. I have an ancient ancestor who pioneered through the Southern states of America, called Logan Grin

Wolverine is an EXCELLENT nn. as is Loges. I like the name Smile

MagdalenaAlec · 06/06/2012 23:57

I have to warn you, "Logan" is also a brand of cheap cars...
Apart from that, it sounds more like a boy's name to me.

roguepixie · 07/06/2012 00:00

Like it.

Consider it a boy's name - a la Wolverine's real name.

underthevalley · 07/06/2012 11:29

I love it (DP has already said no though) for a boy

birdofthenorth · 07/06/2012 11:34

It's a boy's name imho. Loved if after watching Channel 4's Any Human Heart.

I love it less after I heard someone lump it into the Jayden/ Kayden/ Brayden group of names -unfairly I thought, but I can kind of see the similarity

minipie · 07/06/2012 11:55

Boy

(been watching X Men recently)

SLVC · 07/06/2012 13:45

Definitely a boy's name, and yes slightly Jayden-esque for me...

OctonautsOnRepeat · 07/06/2012 13:57

we have a Logan and call him Berry (as in Loganberry) as a nn, and Logi too. I wasn't keen on Logi at first but that's what he calls himself. He's 4.

missingmymarbles · 07/06/2012 17:11

I like it, and know 2 (well the parents of 2), on opposite world with no connection to each other, who are about the same age and who have the same middle name as well, bizarrelyGrin
I don't think it has Jayden/Brayden/etc connotations.
I prefer Lochlan though, in a similar vein to Logan, but has less 'chav' connotations, IMHO.
