Athena and Jago too similar to Theo?

Why oh why do I love names that are similar to my existing sons' names? I have a Theodore who we call Theo about 70% of the time. I need to know if these names are too similar:

Theo with a sister called Athena - Theo and Athena

Theo with a brother called Jago - Theo and Jago

Back to the drawing board?

I already know that Beatrix is out when I have a Felix. Crappity crap crap.

Athena and Theo are too close imo, but Theo and Jago sound fine.

Ditto to Rubirosa

Theo and Athena are definitely too similar. I'm not sure about Theo and Jago - two names ending in "o" might be a bit much, like Angelena and her X names. I do wonder if it matters much how sibling names sound together - after all, for most of their lives they'll presumably be independent beings, and their siblings' names will be pretty irrelevant to anyone else.

Athena isn't that pretty anyway. How about Arianna?

ViolaCrayola · 05/06/2012 17:04

Both too close IMO - sorry. Might be good to imagine calling out over a playground - 'Theo! Jago!' 'Theo! Athena!'

I don't find Arianna in the least attractive, but thanks :) I loathe 'pretty' names in fact.

Ok, back to the drawing board!
