Is it acceptable, if you never see them but they will hear about it on the grapevine?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Surely its acceptable to name your child whatever name you like? Unless it was a close relative then I would name them what you choose. It's nobody else's business really :)

Mmmmm hard one. Think it depends how long ago the relationship was, and if u give a F Wink might be a but odd if it was your ex DH rather than partner but I say who cares if u like the name go with it!

I would say it depends how many people still know you both, and so would know about the two children's names. If not many, go ahead!

My son is called the same name as DPs exes son. We never see her but all know the names are the same and quite frankly I couldn't care less. There's (nearly) always someone with the same name out there so go for it.

Depends a bit on how common the names are I think. If they are top 100 names then I doubt a lot of people would even care that they are the same, much less think it weird.

Unusual names might be a different matter though - but only if you care that some people might comment on you being a copycat. Nobody owns a name though, so if you really like it then go for it.
