I thought Kitty at first too, then I thought perhaps too much of a cat theme

Hmmm you might be right on the cat thing. What about Cecily? Violet?

Nameconfusion · 01/06/2012 15:30

Thanks everyone, please keep them coming. Am wondering about Martha or phoebe?

OP posts:
QOD · 01/06/2012 15:35

Martha is so "right now", personally I don't like it and it's high fashion. Phoebe seems more sort of popular but not in vogue

Tabitha is such a pretty name and Martha, well, it's not

I don't think Martha is "High Fashion".
I've known a few little Marthas over quite a long period of time - it's not as obviously faddy as, say, Elodie, or as "fashiony" as, for example, Violet. I think it's a pretty classic name, like Anna. And I think it's beautiful. (I don't have one or anything.)
Other names with Tabitha:
Millicent
Annie
Sarah
Rosamund
Josephine
Beatrice

Oooooh I LOVE the name Tabitha, it's my DD2s name.

We're expecting DC3 and on our girls shortlist are:

Eliza
Harriet
Isobel
Meredith
Ursula

Also, names I love but can't use:

Iris
Alice
Martha
Esther
Rosalind
Verity
Astrid

DD1 is Eleanor.

Have fun deciding x

manicinsomniac · 01/06/2012 19:22

With Tabitha, I would suggest:

Abigail, Adriana, Bethany, Charlotte, Cecilia, Delilah, Emmeline, Evelyn, Felicity, Francesca, Gabrielle, Harriet, Isabelle, Imogen, Jasmine, Juliette, Katherine, Lauren, Lucinda, Matilda, Madeleine, Miranda, Natasha, Philippa, Penelope, Rebecca, Rosanna, Samantha, Sophia, Vanessa.

zxcv123 · 01/06/2012 19:32

The Tabithas I know have sisters called:

Natasha
Tamara
Arabella

TheMightyMojoceratops · 01/06/2012 19:41

Tabitha and Mabel? (Tab and Mab for short Wink)
Tabitha and Lucy?
Tabitha and Sophie?

A two-syllable name feels more 'balanced' than a three-syllable one when paired with Tabitha.

Geranium3 · 01/06/2012 21:09

lorna?
josephine?
polly?
genevieve?
sasha?
freya?
