So - DH liked Stanley (me thinks dogs name) - has finally decided he no longer likes....phew, just couldn't see self with a Stan. I really like Harvey, we both like Ollie (but am seriously afraid of it being TOO popular - then he chucked Henry into the mix last night. Seriously cannot make minds up - 1st boy was easy is Max - so needs to go with that - guidance and feedback very much appreciated!!!

My fave from your list is Henry.

Sirzy · 29/05/2012 21:55

henry or Stanley

i'm not experienced at baby naming but from my experience of dog naming and by your comment about naming your first boy i would persist till something clicks!!! ( i love the name Max)
i think it's hard to help without knowing the surname cos i think how a name roles is really important and i guess you want something that works with 'max and ......' sentances but I can tell you the names we like and we're still at the trying to conceive stage!

Archie
Theo
Duncan
Mackenzie
Finlay
However my husband super loves Jack, i'm worried about the too popular thing but guess it we're lucky enough to get there he'll just be 'our Jack'!!

Best of luck!

Henry, definitely :)

Ollie is OK but as nickname for Oliver - very nice name, though popular.

Stan too "old man", Harvey too surnamey.

How about Daniel, Peter, James, Frederick/Freddie?

MrsBradleyJames · 30/05/2012 00:55

Someone on another thread suggested Leo, which I love. Leo and Max, Max and Leo...seem to go well imo....or Theo, which is of course v similar

Henry is nice too.

Stan is ugly imo. Harvey is chavvy.

Agree with StepOut's suggestion of Frederick with nn Freddie.

Freddie and Max sound lovely together - very 'intelligent' sounding names I think!

PieMistress · 30/05/2012 09:42

My friend has 2 boys called Max and Joe. I think they go really nicely together.

What about Adam, Joel, Jake or Luke?

Littlecherublegs · 30/05/2012 10:46

Like Ollie best out of those you mention though obviously Oliver is VERY popular.

The Max I know has a brother called Charlie.

Also like MrsBradley sugestion of Leo - think thats goes well with Max.

Or how about Oscar, Harry, Jonah, Robson?

SwissArmyWife · 30/05/2012 11:14

What about Harley instead of Harvey?
I like the "Max and Leo" combo, or Theo (DD was going to be Thoedore if a boy!)
Or..

Max and Bailey?

I like Henry best but think ollie goes better with max I would but Oliver on bc.

Fanackerty · 30/05/2012 21:52

Thanks for the input.......interesting. Ollie id currently winning, followed closely by the late entry of Harry. Vvvvvvv popular both names I know, which concerns me slightly, but now loving Max & Ollie (birth crrt oliver).

I've got two friends with Max's

Max & Leo
Max & Noah

Hopefully when ds2 arrives, you'll look at him and just know... Good luck!

Harvey is chavy.
I would choose Henry, Henry and Max work well together and isn't ultra popular like Oliver.

redrugroffle · 31/05/2012 22:24

Names are popular for a reason, erm they are nice. Oli/ver is a fab name. Henry is great too.

Huggahuddy Jack is a splendid name.
