I know it will date but I've decided that I definitely prefer names of now so at least I'm half way there. Thinking lucia is winning at the mo. What do you think? And any similar suggestions? Thankyou.

Lu-thea is my favourite pronunciation, but all of them sound quite lovely Smile

I like it and would pronounce it Lu-chee-a.

Reminds me of the Mapp & Lucia books. They're a hoot! Miss Mapp and Lucia are two crashing snobs and each other's nemesis. They're both vying for pole social position in a 1930's provincial English town.

Absolutely stunning name

Teapot13 · 29/05/2012 20:10

I wanted to name DD this but DH vetoed. I would have used the Italian pronunciation.

It's a classic -- it's Lucy in Italian/Spanish.

dangerousliaison · 29/05/2012 20:12

Lu..cee..ah

dangerousliaison · 29/05/2012 20:13

some people say it more like lucy-ah though

Puremince · 30/05/2012 15:59

I know two, aged 13 and 8, so I don't think it will date. The 13 yr old is Lu-chee-ah and the 8 yr old is Lu-cee-ah.
