Still unsure what name to choose. Here's the shortlist....
Emily
Emilia
Charlotte
Jessica

What are people's opinions?

All lovely names but very popular at the moment. It wouldn't bother me but it does seem to be a negative for some on here. I think popular names are popular for a reason ... because they are nice!!!

Emily and Charlotte probably my faves.

Love Charlotte and Emily, in that order.

Emilia would probably spend her life correcting people who thought she'd said Emily or Amelia.

Not keen on Jessica bit too 'girly frilly' for me.

They are all lovely names IMO, but my favourite is Emily. Classic and beautiful.

All nice names but here's my order of preference...

1. Emilia
2. Jessica
3. Emily
4. Charlotte

They are all fine but I'd avoid Emilia: she'll be forever correcting people who think she's said Amelia or Emily.

Hmm... Emily is our favourite but it doesn't really go with our surname (also ending in "ee" sound) hence Emilia.

I like Emilia, it's on my short list too. DP wanted Amelia but I prefer Emilia as it's not as common. Everyone on here says about the confusion between the two but surely they're pronounced differently? So don't see it would be that much of a problem? I might write to Emilia Fox and see what she thinks....

They're all very well known popular girls names that are quite widely used - already, but as long as you're happy with that, I'd choose the one YOU love best and that goes best with your surname.
